Deanna and Corey were married on the loveliest June day on Corey’s family farm. If you know me at all, you know I’m a farm girl at heart so this was extra special for me to photograph. And not just any farm, this farm has been in Corey’s family for nine generations! That’s pretty miraculous. Everything about this homespun wedding was an ode to family and tradition. The love, happiness, and beauty just surrounded the day. The ceremony site was the exact spot that Corey asked Deanna to marry him and overlooked a vista of mountains, fields and pond. Deanna and her bridesmaids were treated to a horse drawn carriage ride through the woods (their own farm horses) and up the path to the ceremony. Guests were invited to pick strawberries after the ceremony that the couple planted a year ago just for this very occasion. They served fresh barbecued chicken and meat that was raised on the farm and guests added to the buffet with their own family recipes of salads and sides. Corey and Deanna are both dancers, and they built their own dance floor for the tented reception which was danced on way past sundown.
Their story is a special one. Both from New Hampshire, they actually met in Savannah where they were attending art school. Deanna is a photographer and Corey is a graphic designer. They both enjoyed swing dancing and their first dance together was extra magical when they realized they were both from NH. I’m pretty sure it was love at first sight and what a couple they are. Perfectly matched and absolutely adorable.
Congratulations to this wonderful pair! This farm is lucky to have you and your family in it’s care as you are lucky to have one another.
