Little Evie

When I was in Chicago a couple of weeks ago  I had the chance to visit a dear old friend of mine.  Jen and I were best friends when we lived in Maryland and it was so hard to leave her when my parents moved to New Hampshire.   She and I used to write long letters to each other and our families would visit over the summer.  My parents with their six kids and her family with seven would all get together and play.  It was a child’s dream–but maybe not so much for the parents.

I haven’t had a whole lot of contact with Jen in the last 10 years or so.  Life has a way of slipping by like that and one day you just can’t believe an entire decade has gone by.  You know it’s a good friend though when after ten years you can talk non stop as if only a week has gone by. We could have talked all day!

Jen has a beautiful baby girl now and I was lucky enough to get the chance to meet her and take some photos of her running around in Wicker Park (near my old stomping grounds).

Evie is 15 months old and never. stops. moving.  Here she is, the beautiful miss Evie!

Here’s to catching up and not letting another 10 years go by!

XOXO~Kate
