One of the most amazing things about being a wedding photographer is the people that you get to meet and ultimately, if you’re lucky, become friends with. Tash and Jared live in Australia so our first encounters were through skype. Because of the time difference I met with them at 6am (their evening) and had such a lovely connection with them that it affected my whole day in a dreamy sort of way. They are world travelers and have been planning not just one wedding but three! Cape Cod is where Jared proposed (after 10 years of dating–you can imagine how that played out in the toasts and speeches!) so they wanted to have their ceremony there. They will then go on to have a reception in Canada, where Jared is from, and then another in Melbourne, Australia.
Their ceremony was held at the lovely Chatham Bars Inn, right on the beach, on a gorgeous day. Surrounded by a select group of family and close friends, the entire day was nothing short of magical. Tash had so many wonderful little details and the serene Cape Cod landscape was the perfect background. The sunset was absolutely glorious that night and the photos are not enhanced at all, they don’t need to be. The sky looked exactly like that! The day was brimming with happiness, joy and love.
It was an incredible honor to photograph this wedding and to have gotten the chance to know Tash and Jared. I will happily call them my friends for years to come.
