June 2013 Archive

4 Times 12 | June

Asa turned 9.  Bea turned 18 months.

School ended.  Summer started.

Wedding season is in full swing.

Life is busy and laid back all at the same time.

I hope it stays this way.

Pam and Joe | Boston Engagement Session

Pam and Joe met in Boston at law school.  They wanted to do their engagement session in Boston where they fell in love and their story began.  They are absolutely adorable and we had a great time walking around the Boston Garden and side streets.  Pam has the most gorgeous hair and a killer smile (and oh yeah, those EYES!).  Joe was cracking us up the whole time.  Together they are perfect. I am so excited to photograph their wedding in September!

Sibling Love | NH Children’s Photographer

Where would we be without our siblings?  They are there to protect us, to argue with, and to laugh with.  They keep us from being the sole attention of our parents.  They are built in playmates and lifelong friends.

These two were so adorable together and I loved watching them interact.  There was the usual push and pull of a brother-sister relationship and you could tell they were close.  I love their blue eyes and adorable smiles (and of course the gorgeous red hair and freckles)!

Preppy Lakeside Inspiration | Brewster Academy

I’m a bit on the old fashioned side.  I still listen to the radio, I still print out directions, and I still LOVE film.  I have been shooting with film since highschool and used it all through art school and post grad.  I think it’s beautiful.  I love that it’s soft and light and sometimes grainy.    I love that it makes you slow down and be purposeful with your work.  Although I made the switch to digital photography a few years ago, I still shoot with film too and am really loving the combination of both for my current work.

Last month I had the opportunity to work with some incredible wedding vendors in the Lakes Region on a styled shoot.  Mindy Rossignol of Private Weddings and Events came up with this adorable theme of a lakeside preppy wedding and we shot it at Brewster Academy in the lovely scenic town of Wolfeboro, NH. Sara Tejada of Inkprint Letterpress created some gorgeous invitations and menus, and Inspiration Bridal chose theperfect gowns to match the setting. Everyone worked so hard to pull all of this together, just as they do at weddings, and the results are beautiful.  I shot a combination of film and digital for this shoot and am so happy with the beautiful images.

If you are in the process of planning a wedding I would highly recommend all of these vendors.  They will work hard for you and give you an incredibly special wedding.

Summer Sun | NH Children’s Photographer

Summer is finally here and I met up with this lovely family for some portraits last week.  These two little cuties were having so much fun romping through the field (after the little one warmed up and allowed herself to be put down).  I love that one has blue eyes and one has hazel.  I love the red shoes.  I love the drool on him and I love the comfort she gets from sucking two-fingers. This family is pretty darn awesome.
