Skylands Manor Wedding | Sneak Peek!

Good Morning!  I know I’ve been MIA for a while now but an out of town wedding and a house full of strep throat will do that to a girl!!  We’re all recovering but it’s been no fun for sure.  In the mean time I’m so thrilled to share a sneak peek from this incredible wedding at the Skylands Manor at the New Jersey Botanical Gardens.

More to come soon!!

Engagement Session | Rebecca & Chris

I had so much fun photographing Rebecca & Chris last week.  We were lucky enough to get a warm spring day but it was super windy.  I’m talking “wind advisories” kinda wind!  They were so laid back and fun to hang out with.

Isn’t Rebecca beautiful?   Chris is such a handsome devil too!

I heart this one.

Did I mention that they brought their pups?  These beautiful dogs are brother and sister and kind of reminded me of kids I’ve photographed before.  Lots of energy and not much interest in pictures.   So, we just let them play in the snow.

And then we just played.

I know it looks like I brought some kind of wind fan to the shoot but it naturally just worked out this way!

Love you guys!  Can’t wait for your wedding! :)

Woodbound Wedding | Part Two!

And now, here are some more photos from Amy and Kevin’s Woodbound Inn Wedding!

Amy and Kevin decided to do a “first look” which is awesome!  Here she goes!

I love these shots of Amy getting ready to go into the ceremony.  Especially the ones with her Dad.

A favorite of mine.

Amy gave her new stepson a necklace and they joined the families together.  It was a beautiful moment.

Married!!

Congratulations you two!!  XOXO

Woodbound Wedding | Part one

Good morning!  I am so excited to share some of Amy and Kevin’s wedding photos with you today.  They were married at the lovely Woodbound Inn in Rindge, New Hampshire on a cool early spring day.  Here’s part one of their photographs.

Amy told me as I was leaving that red birds were special to her because they were her beloved grandmother’s favorite bird.  She apparently had bright red hair and always said she’d come back as a red bird.  I had seen this display in the lobby early in the day and just loved it.  It kind of gave me goosebumps when I downloaded it and saw it again knowing what Amy had told me.

I loved Amy’s shoes!

A moment with the girls before the ceremony.

A quiet moment with the bride and groom.

That’s all for now. Stay tuned for part two!

Featured | Guest Blog on How to Photograph Your Kids!

I was thrilled when my friend Hannah asked me to be a  guest writer on her blog.  We decided to write some tips  for parents to better photograph their kids.  Of course after I wrote it I  thought of  twenty more things to say but I guess I’ll just have to save those for another day. You can view the article here.

I urge you to check out Hannah’s blog, To the Moon n Back.  She is a great writer and an insightful mom.  This is a photograph I took of her gorgeous kids last fall.  They had a rough commute to NH for their session but I just loved the softness and quiet tone of their pictures.

Enjoy and have a great day!
