Bea turned three a few weeks ago and I thought I would post a few pictures from her fairy party. I have to admit, it is pretty fun to plan a girl’s party for a change and my mom and I had a ball coming up with lots of little details. I made the cake (good thing I have a day job..) and I ordered a cake topper from Etsy. When it still hadn’t shown up the day before the party my amazing mom literally whipped up this unbelievable cake topper! It’s way prettier than the one I had ordered and so special because she made it. She also made the pretty cones, fairy decorations and wands that the kids decorated at the party. I don’t know what I would do without her. I wanted the girls to go home with something besides little plastic bags of junk so since Bea loves feeding birds so we filled some little bags with cracked corn to add to their collection of fairy goodies. It was a special day and so fun to celebrate with family and friends.
These portraits were taken literally hours before the first winter storm came. I like to think of it as a tribute to fall and all the warmth of the season that will rest for awhile. This family made life look effortless. The whole thing; marriage, parenting and laughing. I love the warmth that surrounds them and the gentle way they treat each other. They will weather many storms together and be all the better for it. Happy winter, may your hearts be filled with light.
Happy third birthday to my dear sweet daughter. I can’t believe it’s been three whole years since I held you in my arms for the very first time. And I can hardly remember life without your joyous presence. You are a beautiful, independent, creative little being and have brought more joy to this family than you will ever know. You are our sunshine. You are our little “Trixie-Lew-Who” and although you are no longer two you will always be our baby girl. I don’t want you to change because I love you just the way you are now; with your big blue eyes, blonde pixie hair and vivacious spirit that seems too big for your little body. But, I am excited to watch you grow and become the remarkable person that I know you are destined to be.
You are stubborn at times, like your mom. And you speak your mind. You have such a nurturing soul and I love watching you feed the birds and our little stray kitty. It warms my heart to hear you worry about them being ‘so cold’. I love the way you hold my cheeks in your little hands and look right into my eyes when you want to be heard. And I love when you sing. I love that you want to be a mom when you grow up and I know that wherever life takes you, you will bring happiness. You do a great job at keeping up with your big brothers and they adore you.
There are so many things that I wish for you in the coming years. But for now, I wish for you to have a wonderful day filled with tea parties and crafts and snuggles and stories and songs. I wish you happiness and adventure. And so much love.
Stacy and Mike were married on a brisk November day at the gorgeous Wychmere Beach Club on Cape Cod. I loved everything about these two and their traditional Greek wedding! They were surrounded by an abundance of family members, many all the way from Greece. Stacy and Mike were both so calm and happy all day which made the wedding even more fun. And oh, that dress!! Isn’t it fabulous?! The ceremony was incredibly beautiful and I so enjoyed the gorgeous church and all the traditional aspects of the service. We ran to the beach after it was done for some very quick, very cold portraits in the dark! Their bridal party was truly wonderful, never complaining and being so helpful to us. Not to mention gorgeous!!
The Wychmere is a stunning venue. The room itself is so pretty with the beams and sophisticated beach feel. But, what made it even more incredible, is that you are literally on a dock, so when you look out the windows you are looking straight down at water. Boats are going by and waving and it just feels like Cape Cod! This was a super fun crowd and the party was going all night! Everyone was up and dancing, and throwing money, and hugging and kissing, and you just couldn’t help but want to join in the fun. What an incredible way to begin a marriage, surrounded by so much love and happiness!
Congratulations Stacy and Mike! You are wonderful and I know you will have a long happy marriage!
